Kelsey Hunter

Kelsey Hunter works out of our Columbia office and focuses her practice on family law. She was raised in Spring Hill, Tennessee, and is a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She later received her Juris Doctor from the Nashville School of Law.

Experience & Expertise

Kelsey’s career in the legal field began in 2016, when she started working as a paralegal for several well-respected law firms throughout Middle Tennessee. Her early experience, including working alongside a former judge in a Brentwood-based domestic law practice, provided her with a strong foundation in family law and a deep understanding of the legal system. Over the years, she developed a clear passion for family law, which remains the primary focus of her practice today.

That passion continued to grow while in law school, where Kelsey was granted a temporary license to practice law under supervision pursuant to Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 7, Section 10.03. This opportunity allowed her to advocate directly for clients, litigate child custody cases in the Juvenile Court of Davidson County, and assist in the representation of indigent individuals through the Public Defender’s Office in Maury County.

With her academic background in psychology and nearly a decade of legal experience, Kelsey brings both compassion and clarity to emotionally complex family law matters. She approaches each case with empathy and insight, working tirelessly to ensure that her clients are supported, informed, and confidently represented at every stage of the process.

Kelsey is proud to continue serving families across Middle Tennessee and remains dedicated to delivering honest, thoughtful, and results-driven advocacy for those navigating difficult transitions
