Trey Adams

Trey comes to Fort, Holloway, & Rogers after practicing at the largest domestic litigation firm in the United States over the past 4 years. Previously, Trey practiced in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, with a primary focus in family law but also with a smaller focus in criminal law matters. While in law school, Trey interned for the Dekalb County, Georgia and Cobb County, Georgia District Attorney’s offices. Trey is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a B.A in Political Science. Trey later earned his Juris Doctorate from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School where he graduated with honors from the Criminal Justice Program.

Trey was recognized as one of the Nashville Business Journal’s People on the Move in May of 2017. He was selected as one of the Top 40 under 40 in Family Law by the American Academy of Attorney’s in 2019. He was honored as a Rising Star by the American Institute of Legal Advocates and as a Top 40 under 40 by The National Advocates in 2018. Trey is a member of the John Marshall chapter of the American Inns of Court and the Williamson County Bar Association.

Trey dedicates himself to serving his clients with diligence and attention to detail. He understands the stress clients are faced with when it comes with any litigation matter, but even more so when it comes to issues pertaining to custody and divorce. It is a very emotional process, and Trey understands the need for a strong advocate in matters affecting the family, both inside and outside the court room.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Trey graduated from Memphis University School in 2003. Trey comes from a family of attorneys. His grandfather was an attorney in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, area for over 40 years, later being appointed as a city court Judge of both Zachary and Clinton, Louisiana. His aunt has also been practicing law in the New Orleans area for over 30 years. Trey and his Wife moved to the greater Nashville area in 2015 and to Franklin in 2017, where they currently live with their two golden retrievers and are expecting a daughter in May of 2021. In his free time, Trey enjoys golf, hunting, canoeing, cooking, and following the LSU Tigers football and baseball teams.
